As with condos the range is wide and indicative of the varied affordability present in the Provincetown market. Yes, the “Trophy” home sales take up lots of the energy and certainly are important and memorable in their own right, as they anchor the high end, but they sometimes overshadow the numerous sales of more moderately priced homes that represent most of the market.

Provincetown – Studs to Shingles – The Busiest Four Corners – Race Road and Franklin Street

 

There is an amazing amount of construction going at the intersection of Race Road and Franklin Street in the West End. Two single family homes are being built; approximately 10 condos are being built, and a newly renovated condo is on the market. This great neighborhood is only a five minute walk to Commercial Street with a wonderful balance of single family homes and condos in a variety of architectural styles.

Provincetown – The Three Highest Priced Homes For Sale

 

The Provincetown high end is as diverse as the town itself. These homes represent lovely family homes and compounds that just happen to have one of the best locations in the world – on the water in Provincetown! These three homes represent the best of Provincetown: a classic waterfront home, a mini- waterfront compound, and an oversized gatehouse to a famous estate. Last week I featured a post on the three highest priced homes for sale in Truro.

There are only 17 single family properties on the market in Provincetown vs 60 in Truro.  Of those 17  only 6 are priced below $1M. The average asking price is $1.493M. Last year at this time there were 18 homes on the market with only 3 priced below $1M. These numbers illustrate the historic low inventory levels we are experiencing in Provincetown.

46 single family homes have sold year to date with an average sales price of $1.356M. 50 have sold in Truro year to date.
